Side Effects: Methenolone is widely considered to be very “mild” in the sense that it carries absolutely zero risk of any estrogenic side effects at any dose. Both methenolone and its close sibling, oxandrolone, are anabolic steroids that have been used clinically in the treatment of women and children with very little risk of harmful effects. Although methenolone has a very low androgenic strength rating compared to testosterone, methenolone can still have androgenic side effects, especially in individuals who are more sensitive to this category of side effects. Androgenic side effects include the following: increased sebum secretion (oily skin), increased acne flare-ups (linked to increased sebum secretion), growth of body and facial hair, and an increased risk of triggering male pattern baldness.

Administration: The usual dosage among male athletes is a dosage of 200-400 mg per week, taken for 6 to 12 weeks. This amount is sufficient to promote very noticeable increases in lean muscle tissue. However, it is not uncommon to see the drug taken in doses as high as 600 mg per week or more, although such amounts may highlight a more androgenic side of methenolone, as well as exacerbate its negative effects on serum lipids.

Details: Primabol-100 is an injectable version of the steroid methenolone enanthate. An enanthate ester is used to slow the release of the steroid at the injection site. Methenolone enanthate provides a similar steroid release pattern to testosterone enanthate, with blood hormone levels remaining markedly elevated for approximately 2 weeks. Methenolone itself is a moderately strong anabolic steroid with very low androgenic properties. Its anabolic effect is considered to be slightly less than that of nandrolone decanoate, milligram for milligram. Methenolone enanthate is most commonly used during cutting cycles, when the primary goal is lean mass gain rather than bulking. The combination of the strong anabolic, weak androgenic, and non-estrogenic nature of this drug makes methenolone enanthate very desirable for building lean muscle without side effects.
